The 29-year-old granddaughter of the Missoni brand’s founders was every inch the blushing bride in an elaborate Giambattista Valli creation fashioned with Missoni silk and organza. She topped off her bohemian look with a gothic-style tiara that secured her intricate braids. The gorgeous brunette later changed into a blush pink dress, once again created by her friend Giambattista Valli, and replaced her headband with flowers.Guests, who also included shoe designer Charlotte Olympia Dellal and socialite Eugenie Niarchos, sat Moroccan style on cushions during the celebration in the quaint town of Brunello.  Many paid respect to the bride's heritage by wearing Missoni designs. The bridesmaids included Margherita’s sister Teresa and Tatiana Santo Domingo, who is dating Andrea Casiraghi – the son of Monaco’s Princess Caroline. They were pretty in patterned dresses and wore flower garlands in their hair.

Missoni, whose history spans over 60 years, is famed for its signature knitwear designs and colourful zigzags. But at the heart of the Italian powerhouse – which was founded by husband and wife Ottavio and Rosita in 1953 – is family. Their daughter Angela, Margherita’s mother, is now creative director of the brand.
