Loved-up stars toast Cavalli's romantic spirit

There was a time when simply wearing designer clothes was enough to make the right impression at a showbiz soiree, but if the example of red carpet stars like Cindy Crawford and Nicky Hilton is anything to go by, today's fashion-conscious party-goer should also be sipping on a designer tipple.

British singer Dario Danesh joined the two A-listers at a launch party for Roberto Cavalli's new vodka on Thursday. And while Cindy took along her husband Rande Gerber to the glitzy Bel Air bash, Darius was accompanied by his glamorous girlfriend Natasha Henstridge.

The Species actress, who now stars in TV drama Commander-In-Chief, recently revealed she met the Scottish singer at a pedestrian crossing in Los Angeles. "He'll kill me if I tell you but we literally met in the street," she explained. "I met him at a stop-light. It was awkward but we started talking and the lights changed from green to red so many times. We must have talked for about half an hour, and then he asked for my number."

Having recently moved into the blonde bombshell's LA home, Darius seems to be making quite an impression in Tinseltown. Diminutive designer Roberto took centre stage on Thursday night, however, with a roll-call of his Hollywood friends eager to sample the new spirit.

The Florentine designer's vodka is made using spring water from the peaks of Monte Rosa in northern Italy which is then filtered through crushed Italian marble. "This vodka is clear, captivating and brilliant, like the women who inspire me," he said.
