Peter Andre's loved ones are encouraging the singer to mend his broken marriage to Katie Price for the sake of their children.
The couple are parents to Harvey, Katie's seven-year-old from a previous relationship, three-year-old Junior and Princess Tiaamii, who's nearly two.
An uncle of the singer, who's spent five days comforting Pete at his villa in Cyprus, told the Daily Mirror the advice from their relatives was that the estranged pair needed "to go back to how things used to be".
"We want them to get back together. Peter's trying to understand what to do," said Michalis Violaris.
As he considers the future, the distraught star has rubbished claims the separation is a publicity stunt. "How anyone could think I would pretend to split up from my wife to grab headlines is beyond me," he said.
Pete now faces the distressing task of cancelling a surprise party he'd organised for the model-turned-businesswoman to mark her 31st birthday on Friday.
The 36-year-old had ordered a huge white chocolate cake decorated with hearts and cherubs, bespoke jewellery and a family portrait.
Father of three Pete had intended the evening to culminate with him performing a new song declaring his love for Katie and their kids.
A friend said: "Having to cancel Friday's bash after all the thought and effort he put into it, is simply heartbreaking".
