Giving supermodels a run for their money, Coleen Rooney shows HELLO! readers what a class act she is this week, in her most glamorous photo shoot ever. Shot in and around some of Paris’s most iconic landmarks, the stunning pictures show the 24-year-old mum, fashion designer and former TV presenter in a succession of exquisite haute couture gowns and luxurious fur coats.
And in her most outspoken and revealing interview this year, she hits back at the critics who’ve slammed her and her soccer star husband Wayne for their extravagant spending and some of the recent rumours about her. Asked about suggestions she’s had a boob job, Coleen laughs and insists her boosted bust, as seen on her recent holiday to Dubai with Wayne, is all down to her clever choice of swimwear.
“The secret is halterneck bikinis. In some of the supposed ‘before’ shots I was in a bandeau bikini and they don’t do me any justice. A halterneck bikini pulls you up. She added: “But I do find it weird that people sit there analysing my body like that.”
Asked about the controversy surrounding Wayne’s recent contract negotiations with Manchester United, which saw the striker secure a record-breaking deal, she says: “Of course he earns a lot of money, but don’t forget he quite rightly pays a lot of tax, too. "And he pays it in this country, whereas other footballers pay less tax in countries where they weren’t born. So although he does earn loads, he also pays all his dues.”
She also talks for the first time about the night a mob of 30 angry fans turned up at the gates of their home. “They came looking intimidating, as if it was done to frighten us.” On a happier note, Coleen describes the recent Disney-themed first birthday celebrations for her and Wayne’s son Kai, as well as his Christening last weekend.
“We had about 60 kids there and it was really magical. Everywhere you looked there were little Woody’s and Buzz Lightyear’s and Princesses running around. Kai was dressed as Winnie the Pooh and he just loved it.”
