Jack Nicholson made a rare public appearance with his son Ray at the weekend – and it's clear the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree.
Ray, 22, who is the youngest of Jack's children, looked the spitting image of his famous father at that age.
He sported the same trademark grin as the pair posed together at the star-studded Apollo in the Hamptons event, which was attended by guests including Sir Paul McCartney, Barbra Streisand and James Brolin, Robert De Niro, Sting, Gladys Knight and Jon Bon Jovi.
It's not just physically that Ray takes after his dad; he has also decided to follow him into showbusiness. Despite his young age, the aspiring director already has two assistant director credits to his name, and also briefly appeared on screen in the 2006 comedy The Benchwarmers.
Ray is 77-year-old Jack's second child with actress Rebecca Broussard, with who he was in a relationship from 1989 until 1994. The couple also have a daughter Lorraine.
The Oscar-winning actor is also a father to Jennifer Nicholson, from his six year marriage to Sandra Knight between 1962 and 1968, and Honey Hollman (born 1981) from his romance with Danish model Winnie Hollman.
Jack has previously said of Ray and Lorraine, "They're great. I was never what you call a hands-on sort of father, but I'm lucky my kids have turned out the way they have.
"Parenthood is all about being in the lap of the gods. All you can do is your best."
