Katy Perry put in a spectacular show with her half-time performance at the Super Bowl – but, bizarrely, found herself almost upstaged by a dancing shark. While Katy was strutting her stuff during her set – which included costume changes, duets and an entrance on a giant mechanical lion - viewers soon found themselves distracted by one of her backing dancers, now known as 'Left Shark'.
Katy was joined on stage by two sharks during her live rendition of California Gurls, but it quickly became apparent that one of them had forgotten the dance moves.

Within minutes, Left Shark had its own Twitter account – which has since increased to six – thanks to its out-of-time chorography, in comparison to the Right Shark, who was perfectly in sync with Katy.
"I think EVERYONE can agree: the right shark was killing it and the left shark was just a mess," one fan tweeted, while another writing, "These vines of @KatyPerry's shark that forgot the dance have me crying…" Another viewer posted: "Everyone's all upset over the game, and I'm still laughing over the left shark who didn't know his dance moves."
The game itself was won by the New England Patriots, who beat the Seattle Seahawks 28 to 24 to take their first Super Bowl title since 2005. Tom Brady helped to lead his team to victory, and was presented with the MVP award (Most Valuable Player) following the game.
No-one was prouder of the quarterback than his family. Immediately after the final whistle, Tom rushed over to kiss his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen, who was watching from the stands with his two sons, John and Benjamin. The Brazilian beauty later posted a celebratory photo of herself and her husband, with the caption, "We are so proud of you daddy!!! Congratulations!! #gopats #superbowl #sb49 Estamos muito orgulhosos de voce papai! Parabens!!!! #vaipats."
