Aishwarya Rai and her adorable daughter Aaradhya have touched down in Nice for the Cannes Film Festival.
Dressed in a chic black outfit accessorised with a bright yellow bag and matching shoes, Aishwarya carried her 1-year-old daughter.
Aaradhya was dressed in a cute pink cardigan, red leggings adorned with white hearts and sported a red bow in her hair.Fans of Bollywood star Aishwarya had eagerly been anticipating her arrival at the festival, which she has attended for the past 12 years.
Aishwarya, who starred in 2004 hit Bride and Prejudice, has previously been dubbed India' s unofficial ambassador to the festival and is expected to walk the red carpet on Sunday, 19 May.
Former Miss World, Aishwarya and her husband, fellow actor Abhishek Bachchan, are fiercely private and have tried to keep their daughter out of the spotlight.
For many months after her birth, Aaradhya's real name was unknown, leading the media to refer to her as 'Beti B'.
The adorable youngster is rarely photographed, although she joined her mother on stage in January when Aishwarya was awarded an accolade at India's Filmfare Awards.
Cradling her daughter in her arms Aishwarya praised her family unit and paid tribute to her actor husband's talent. It was the first time the star had been seen publically with her daughter since the child was born in November 2011.
"So overwhelmed with all that has taken place today," Abhishek proudly tweeted on the day reached he became a father. "Thank you, thank you for all for your kindness, love and prayers. It means the world to us."
