Britain's Got Talent winners Ashleigh and Pudsey stole the nation's hearts with their sweet dance act in 2012. Two years later, Pudsey is starring in his own film, Pudsey: The Movie, produced by Simon Cowell, with David Walliams providing the voice for Pudsey.
Ashleigh and Pudsey paid a visit to the HELLO! Online office on Monday morning
"David and Simon were our judges on the show so working with them was quite surreal," Ashleigh told HELLO! Online. "They're both brilliant at their jobs - we couldn't have asked for a better pair!"
The 19-year-old also revealed why teaming up with David was particularly exciting for Pudsey. "David is Pudsey's favourite celebrity! I think he's the judge that's really supported us, plus he loves Pudsey," his owner said.
"Every time I think of Pudsey speaking now I hear David Walliams’ voice," she added. "It’s a bit strange! It’s really exciting though, and he’s done a brilliant job." As the film's premiere approaches, the pretty trainer - who is currently sporting red hair - admits she isn't worried for Pudsey because he "handles all the crowds so well", joking that he actually can't get enough of the attention. "The bigger the crowd, the more he’ll perform," she revealed. "He dances and loves it. He loves premieres, and the red carpet and cameras."
Ashleigh and Pudsey met the Queen after their Royal Variety performance
It seems that Pudsey is aware of his celebrity status, and enjoys teasing fans. "He actually does this really awkward thing where he’ll walk up to people and just as they go to stroke him he walks away," laughed Ashleigh.
The bubbly owner and her dog have also been mingling with A-listers, including doing the conga with Kim Kardashian during an appearance on Alan Carr: Chatty Man. "It was a surreal moment I'll never forget!" Ashleigh beamed.
The dancing duo have met both Kim Kardashian and Kanye West on separate occasions
The dancing duo have also met Kim's new husband Kanye West, but Ashleigh admitted that they caught him slightly by surprise. "I don’t think Kanye was too happy about it," she admitted. "Pudsey jumped into his arms so he didn't really have a choice!"
Pudsey: The Movie will be out in cinemas on the 18th July.
