Madonna has confirmed she will perform at the 2015 BRIT Awards - her first performance at the annual awards show in 20 years. The legendary pop star will perform a preview of her 13th studio album Rebel Heart, and it is expected to be one of the biggest performances of the night.
The singer told fans via Twitter: "Hello to all my UK Rebel Hearts!!! See you at the Brits on Feb 25th #BritsImMadonna #livingforlove #rebelheart"
"We're delighted to bring Madonna back to the BRITS", the BRITS Chairman Max Lousada said following the announcement.
"She's an icon, an innovator and, above all, an entertainer. Having her as part of the show will guarantee an unforgettable night of music."
Held at the 02 Arena later in February, the awards show will also see performances from nominees - and best friendts - Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, along with Sam Smith, Paloma Faith, and Take That.
Sam leads the Brit Awards nominations with five nods, while Ed and George Ezra are recognised in four categories each. Taylor is up against Beyoncé Knowles and Lana Del Rey in the Best International Female Solo Artiat category.
Madonna's album Rebel Heart has already hit the headline, following thirteen demos tracks leaking late in 2014. Madonna then pushed the release of the album forward to March 2015, working overtime to get the album ready for fans.
Madonna last performed at the BRIT Awards in 1995
The 56-year-old revealed that she will perform at the annual Grammy Awards, which air on Sunday 8 February, informing fans of her involvement in the awards show by tweeting a picture of her Rebel Heart artwork meshed with a Grammy Award.
"Rebel Hearts see you Feb 8th @TheGRAMMYs," she wrote alongside the snap.
