Russell Crowe took his sons Charles, 9, and Tennyson, 6, out for the night to attend the Australian premiere of Man Of Steel on Monday, without his wife Danielle Spencer. The New Zealand-born actor, who plays the biological father of Superman in the film, showed he was just the family man as he led his young sons down the red carpet. Russell looked relaxed and casual in a black suit without a tie, and posed and smiled for the cameras.
Sons Charles and Tennyson followed suit and looked adorable in matching outfits —grey suits with white shirts, with Charles donning a red bow tie and Tennyson a blue one. The Les Miserables actor is clearly concerned with spending as much quality time with his family as possible. In 2012, Russell had to spend several months away to work on various films, including Noah, Les Miserables and Iron Fist, causing a strain on his family. He tweeted how much he missed his sons, posting, "Starting on another film set tomorrow. I need to go home & be with my children. Cannot believe how… my schedule has become this year." Russell looked over the moon to have Charles and Tennyson at his side during the Man Of Steel premiere. "They're never really impressed with me," he told APP. "I'm just dad, the taxi driver, but they love the film and they're here again tonight because they wanted to see it a second time."
Bindi Irwin, the 14-year old television presenter and daughter of the late Steve Irwin, accompanied the family on their night out. The teen actress wore peacock-patterned leggings and a black coat, and is clearly fond of the young children. She took to Twitter to show her enjoyment at Monday's event, posting, "Loved attending Man Of Steel last night. Congratulations to @russellcrowe and the entire cast & crew. Great to see Charlie & Tennyson again!"
