Theo Walcott shows off handsome newborn son in first photo

Proud dad Theo Walcott has shared a photo of his newborn baby son Finley.The Arsenal footballer posted the heart-melting photo on his Facebook page alongside the caption, "Welcome Finley James Walcott to the world! X."In the black and white snap, little Finley looks half asleep and remarkably like his father. The image was an instant hit with Theo and his wife Melanie Slade's fans, gaining over 80,000 "Likes" in less than a day.

Followers were quick to congratulate the beautiful couple, with some commenting on how they hoped the little tot would develop a passion for football like his father. "Future arsenal winger," wrote one fan, while another excited supporter posted, "Welcome son!!!!! Ur father is a hero! So will u!!!!"

Theo and Melanie welcomed their first child earlier this week on Thursday, with the 25-year-old athlete again announcing the big news on his Facebook page. "So over the moon to announce the birth of our baby boy Finley born this morning.... It's amazing to be mummy & daddy! Love him so much x," wrote Theo.The new parents tied the knot in June of last year, after having been together for nine years. HELLO! exclusively covered the couple's magical wedding, which took place in a castle near Florence, Italy.

"It's fantastic to be able to finally call Melanie my wife," Theo told the magazine after the nuptials. "Now we're excited to see what the future holds for us.""That moment when I saw Theo waiting for me at the altar was so overwhelming," recalled blonde beauty Melanie. "Your emotions are all over the place — you're so excited and euphoric because you're marrying this person who you love so much, but there are some nerves there too because it's such a big step."
