Liv Tyler and her partner Dave Gardner have welcomed their first child together. The actress gave birth to a baby boy in New York City on Wednesday. "He's healthy and everyone is happy," a representative told People, although a source said that the newborn arrived six weeks early and will need to remain in hospital for some time. The baby boy joins big brothers Milo, 10, from Liv's previous marriage to Royston Langsten, and seven-year-old Gray, Dave's son with Davinia Taylor.
Liv – the daughter of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler – and British sports agent David started dating at the start of last year after being introduced by mutual friend Kate Moss. They confirmed the exciting news that they were expecting a baby together in September.Among the first to congratulate the couple on the arrival of their son was Liv's close friend Kate Hudson, who is also a mother to two little boys.Posting a throwback photo on her Instagram of herself with Liv, back when she was pregnant with son Milo, Kate wrote, "tbt to may years ago when @misslivealittle was preggers with Milo and yesterday welcomed a new baby boy! Congrats mama, I love you Shpooops! #Joy #BoyMama."
Since confirming her pregnancy news, Liv has been posting pictures of her growing baby bump for fans to see. She also opened up about her pregnancy in an interview with Town & Country in November, and said she was thrilled to be expecting. "The most fun thing about being pregnant is having those mum hormones flowing around," the 37-year-old told the magazine. "You're more present in your body and it's making me a better mother for Milo."She added, "It's fun not being on a diet or thinking, 'Oh my god, I have to go to SoulCycle every day!'"
