Formula 1 presenter Natalie Pinkham has introduced her son Wilf in his first photoshoot, featured exclusively in HELLO! magazine. Natalie and husband Owain Walbyoff pose together with four-month-old Wilf in their new West London home.

In an exclusive interview to accompany the photos, Natalie opens up about Wilf's traumatic arrival into the world – and says she hopes to use the experience to help other mothers in the same situation.

Natalie tells HELLO!: "I have come away from all of this with two things. One a beautiful, gorgeous baby boy and also a total understanding that women need to talk about what happens to them when things go wrong. "Natalie was six days overdue when she went into labour and Wilf was delivered by emergency Caesarian section after he got into distress. She then suffered postpartum pre-eclampsia and was in hospital for ten days when her bladder was distended to four times it normal size. "You literally go through a trauma, but things are moving so fast you don't get to process anything," she reveals, explaining what helped her cope with the experience. "Emotionally you are in a state of simultaneously being ecstatically happy and completely terrified within seconds of each other.

Natalie's exclusive interview features in this week's issue, out now

"A female consultant told me how important it was to talk – to my mum, my friends, Owain – whenever I felt emotional, which is pretty much most of the time. I feel she gave me that freedom to talk and to cry and that it was actually okay to do that. I think it's important other women know that, too. We aren't really encouraged to do it because we're so busy getting on with everything else. But it's been my therapy and it's made us all such a close unit. I feel very blessed. "Luckily, Natalie is back to good health – and was back at work when Wilf was six weeks old. "My new house is six minutes away from work and we've actually been having script and production meetings here, so I don't have to be away from Wilf.
