Natalie Portman is expecting her second child with husband Benjamin Millepied. The Oscar-winning actress debuted her blossoming baby bump in a beautiful white, one-shouldered Valentino gown at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday, as she stepped out for the premiere of her latest movie Planetarium.

Natalie, 35, and French choreographer Benjamin, 39, first met on the set of the 2010 movie Black Swan, and tied the knot in California in 2012. They are already proud parents to five-year-old son Aleph.

Natalie is notoriously private when it comes to her personal life, and has taken care to keep her young son out of the spotlight. In a recent article for The New York Times' T Magazine, she revealed how her home life revolves around being a wife and a mother.

"When I'm not working, I'm pretty much exclusively with my family, so my rituals have to do with school, meal preparation, playdates, bedtime," she wrote.

It's the second child for Natalie and her husband Benjamin Millepied

"Weekends are best for ritual, because I own them completely. I do the whole week's laundry, which I love because it's a task with a clear beginning and end. And then we spend the weekend together as a family — usually somewhere in nature, often with friends who have children. Lots of cooking."

She added: "[Parenthood] made me much calmer under stress, because there's that weird parent thing you develop, that when things get really bad, your voice gets calm and your blood pressure slows, and you can make everything okay again."

The sweet couple have been married since 2012

The actress also shared one of the main lessons she has learnt since becoming a mum - specifically that "time goes exponentially fast as a parent".

"I hate saying it, 'cause ugh, we hated it so much when people said it to us," she admitted. "They always said it, and now we say it, and it's awful, and we're old. But it's also true."
