Rod was still legally married to model Rachel Hunter when he began seeing Penny, and the comparisons between the blonde beauties began almost instantly. The perceived rivalry between them came to a head in 2004 when Penny was ousted as spokesmodel for a lingerie company, who immediately replaced her with Rod's ex. Any talk of a clash was quashed, however, after the pair met up for a friendly – and highly public –tete a tete.
And Penny is not only a hit with the main man himself; she also seems to have gone down a storm with the rocker's friends. As Elton John puts it: "I love Penny, she's good for him," said the veteran pop star. "She doesn't put up with any nonsense from him at all. I think he's changed a bit."
