Kisses and cuddles as Spain's royals relax on island trip

Sailing enthusiast he maybe, but Crown Prince Felipe of Spain wasn't entirely focused on the proceedings at an international yachting event in Majorca. During a prize-giving gala on the island the former Olympic yachtsman put an arm around his wife Letizia and gave her an affectionate kiss.

The demonstrative prince is never bashful when it comes to showing his feelings for Letizia, whom he wed in a romantic ceremony two years ago. And his loving gestures have been a frequent feature of the couple's break with their baby daughter Leonor.

Felipe and his two special ladies haven't been entirely alone, however, as the extended royal clan has been enjoying Majorca's charms. King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia are unwinding on the Balearic isle along with Felipe's sisters Elena and Cristina and their young broods.

The royal vacation hasn't been entirely full of peace and harmony though. Their blue blood hasn't stopped the royal grandchildren indulging in some boisterous activities and in the process acquiring their fair share of cuts and bruises. Six-year-old Juan Valentin - the son of the King's younger daughter Cristina - was photographed sporting a plaster on his chin after coming a cropper on his bicycle during a trip to Soria in northern Spain. Meanwhile, his cousin Froilan, Elena's eight-year-old, also had to be patched up after he slipped and fell on board a catamaran.
