As a lifelong supporter of AS Monaco, Louis Ducruet is more than accustomed to taking in the on-pitch action from the safety of the sidelines. This week, though, Princess Stephanie and former Palace bodyguard Daniel Ducruet’s handsome son made a rare appearance in the spotlight – taking part in a charity football match with his cousin Pierre Casiraghi.
While dashing Pierre – Princess Caroline’s youngest son – is often spotted out and about, seventh-in-line-to-the-throne Louis is decidedly more private. So the match proved a rare treat for royal watchers eager to catch a glimpse of the 17-year-old.
The high-profile kick-about – which also involved Formula 1 race aces Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa – was in aid of a children’s charity.
And the boys had some royal support from the stands. Among the spectators cheering them on were Prince Albert and Princess Stephanie.
