William and  Kate have left Kensington Palace and travelled to Bucklebury, Berkshire, where they will stay at the home of Kate’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were spotted being driven out of the palace at around 1pm on Wednesday, shortly after they received a visit from both the Queen and Prince Harry.

Prince George, who is destined to be King, has now met all of the couple’s closest relations, apart from Prince Philip. According to reports, Prince Philip has been staying at Sandringham, Norfolk.

After facing the media on Tuesday evening and introducing their baby son to the world, it comes as no surprise that the royal couple would want to try to enjoy some privacy in the early days of their son’s life. Carole, who is also mother to Kate’s siblings Pippa and James, will be on hand to offer advice during this precious time.

Kate is extremely fond of Bucklebury. In turn, locals are proud of their royal connection, and the parish has been decorated with celebratory banners. "There’s definitely a buzz about the place," said one local. "There’s such a nice feel."

Composer Daniel Nicolls, who taught piano to Kate, her sister Pippa, brother James and mother Carole said, "I am certain that Kate will share the same love and concern for her children that she received as a child.""Carole, Mike, Pippa and James will all get involved and have a giggle together when inevitably things are not quite as ordered as they were before."
