Michael Middleton reprises his key role at the wedding of the century by escorting a family friend down the aisle. The Duchess of Cambridge's father couldn't have looked more delighted as he did the honours for Thierry Kelaart, whose own dad passed away when she was 10. Thierry, 29, a university friend of his other daughter Pippa, looked beautiful in a delicate vintage-style satin dress with lace overlay at the service held at St Batholomew's church in Oxfordshire.
She was marrying 33-year-old Patrick Heathcoat Amory, son of Sir Ian and Lady Heathcoat Amory of Calverleigh, Devon.The entire Middleton family was on hand to share her joy, including Michael's wife Carole and son James. For the occasion, Kate had chosen an Erdem dress that had a previous outing at the Trooping the Colour ceremony. Meanwhile, Pippa, an expert at wedding style having attended countless ceremonies in the last 18 months, looked pretty in a gold ensemble.
