The dark-haired woman was seen taking George for a stroll in Hyde Park, pushing the little Prince in his pram. They were accompanied by a protection officer on the outing.
The new nanny, who is thought to have started with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge last month, is being shown the ropes by Kate's mum Carole Middleton.
When William and Kate take the little boy on his first official trip overseas next month, the new nanny will go with them and care for the tot when his parents are carrying out official engagements.
As George will be a mere eight-months-old, he will not be making many public appearances but may take the spotlight on a few occasions.
The new nanny replaces Jessie Webb - pictured with Michael Middleton - who also looked after William when he was little
"One or two engagements across the three weeks have been identified as times when the Duke and Duchess might take Prince George along, too," William's private secretary Miguel Head told a press briefing.
"I'm sure you will appreciate that the couple will have to make a final decision on those moments much closer to the time. The Duke and Duchess are content enough to know that he will be with them in the two countries.
"Despite the new childcare arrangements, while the couple are abroad it's thought George will remain under the principal care of his grandmother Carole.
William and Kate arrived in the Maldivian capital Malé last Thursday on their first trip away solo since welcoming George last summer.
