The royals come out in force for Patron's Lunch celebrations

The British royals were back out in force for theculmination of the Queen's 90th birthday celebrations on Sunday. TheDuke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry were among the senior royals whostepped out for the Patron's Lunch on The Mall.

They left the palace by car and travelled to the top of theMall before getting out to greet the crowds, shaking hands and chatting todelighted guests who had braved the rain especially for the occasion.

Princes William and Harry looked dapper for the occasion innavy suits, while Kate impressed in a blue Roksanda Ilincic dress with a pinkpanelled waistline.

Prince Harry chatted to fans who had lined The Mall

Joining the royal party were Prince Andrew and his daughtersPrincesses Beatrice and Eugenie, who left Buckingham Palace on foot and walkedalong the Mall, spending almost half an hour mingling with guests.

The British royals were met by rapturous applause

Meanwhile Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex's daughter LadyLouise Windsor appeared poised as she participated in her first royal walkabout at theage of just 12, talking to guests as she walked along on her own.

Prince Andrew and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie left Buckingham Palace on foot

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh arrived in their open topped state review vehicle, and waved to the delighted crowds as they slowly travelled along the Mall. before joining the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry on the Admiralty Arch Stage for official thanks and speeches.

The Queen and Prince Philip travelled in their open topped car

Her Majesty was resplendent in a Karl Ludwig couture coat in deep cerise, with a floral silk dress and matching hat by Angela Kelly, one of her favourite designers. The Queen appeared amused to spot her daughter Princess Anne still talking to people in the crowd, saying to her: "Oh, you're still here!"

"Of course!" her daughter replied.

Following the speeches, the Queen and Prince Philip led the parade down the Mall and take theirseats in the royal box to watch the procession reach its impressive finale.

The event has been organised by the Queen's grandson PeterPhillips in recognition of Her Majesty's patronage of more than 600organisations in the UK and around the Commonwealth. Some 10,000 guestsattended the festivities, many of whom were dressed in patriotic ensembles andwaved Union Jack flags.
