Some of the most inspirational looks, particularly for brides who are deciding on the dress and hairstyle for their wedding day, was seen on the Paris Haute Couture catwalk. The Christophe Josse show particularly stood out in the bridal world. The hairstyles of the models on the catwalk was an intricate crown of braided hair, starting at the top of the head and curling gently around the base of the neck. Plaits are a feminine way to wear hair up, and the crown effect is unusual enough to create a very different look for one of the bride's most memorable days ever.

The show also exhibited beautiful silhouettes in cocktail dresses, evening gowns and wedding dresses. Inspiring textures in pearl gray, pink, cream and purple were used throughout. A braided crown works beautifully with the short veils that are currently so popular in the bridal world. A short veil ensures brides can show off their heavenly locks, whilst still wearing a key part of their outfit.

Get the look: combine the crown with a short veil to really show off the hairstyle.
