Lara and Alex were introduced by a friend three years ago at the Farnham Carnival in Surrey. That night they hit the dancefloor until late and stayed up chatting until the early hours of the morning. One date led to many more and they soon moved in together.

The pair got engaged in Ibiza on July 16 2011. Alex had done a great job of hiding the ring in a pair of socks in his suitcase and caught Lara totally unaware. However, it didn't go quite as he smoothly as he had planned. He had the ring at the ready but upon leading Lara to the beach for the romantic proposal, she stumbled down the dark, rocky set of steps. As the bride-to-be was busy studying her potentially broken toe she heard him say "I have something that might make you feel better". He produced the ring and asked her to be his wife. The pain instantly vanished and Lara's tears became tears of joy. Despite family and friends back at home being in the know about Alex's proposal, they sat together by the beach ringing them with the good news.

Although they had debated a local church wedding initially, Lara and Alex eventually chose to tie the knot in Ibiza, an island that was already full of happy memories for the couple. The Amante Beach Club was one of the first venues they found but they were instantly smitten. They described the venue to HELLO! Online: "It was such a special, beautiful place, the staff were amazing, friendly, welcoming and they made everything on the day totally faultless."

In early May they flew back to the beautiful Balearic island along with 45 guests for the wedding. The bridal party and invitees gathered at the same hotel and enjoyed five days of sunny relaxation before the wedding on May 11, 2012. The colour scheme for day was pink and white. The groom was dapper in his Reiss suit whilst his best men and the father of the bride all embraced the dress code with bright pink ties.

Lara wore a floaty Madeline Gardner New York gown which shimmered in the Ibiza sunlight and was the perfect choice for the Mediterranean climate. Her bridesmaids complemented this look with gleaming ivory dresses and pink flowers in their hair. Following their wedding day the newly weds moved hotel and enjoyed an amazing suite with a romantic rooftop hot tub on the roof. The happy couple told HELLO! Online: "We had the time of our lives and we will never forget the experience."
