Richard and Charlotte roll into married life in style

August 23, 2012

Bride Charlotte made a grand entrance on her wedding day at the Holy Trinity Church in the village of Orton Longueville near Peterborough. She arrived in a whirl of vintage glamour in a white 1928 Rolls Royce Open Tourer. Eagerly awaiting her inside the church was her groom, Richard Francis. It had been exactly a year since Richard had popped the question in the garden of their new home.

Following his romantic proposal planning got underway immediately and the date was set for April 21, 2012.  After a week of torrential April rain, their 80 guests were fully prepared with umbrellas at the ready. Fortunately the sun made an appearance just in time for the confetti to be thrown. Once Charlotte and Richard had tied the knot, they made their way to the reception at Barnsdale Lodge near Oakham where a harpist welcomed them into the courtyard and cupcakes were served.

The invitees were treated to a delicious springtime menu of melon and raspberry coulis, chicken with mozzarella and dauphinoise potatoes and chocolate fondant pudding. Feasting continued with a beautiful cake replete with intricate decorations that complemented the silk and lace detailing on Charlotte’s dress. Lucinda, the bride’s younger sister described the day to HELLO! Online as “absolutely stunning”. The new Mr and Mrs Francis jetted off to enjoy their honeymoon to San Francisco, Hawaii and New York.
