The city that never sleeps: Las Vegas plays wedding host for Iona and Charlie's big day

October 23, 2012

Iona and Charlie Daniels opted to marry in fun-filled style, exchanging vows in the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas.Their quest for an unconventional wedding meant that the buzzing streets of the city, laiden with casino-cornered hotels and legendary landmarks made their perfect destination.

But their unique nuptials began with a bang in London when Charlie proposed in the bride-to-be's favourite location on New Years Eve. Knelt on one knee, he popped the question in the middle of the Natural History Museum. They then jet-setted off to the American wedding hot-spot where they married at the Bellagio Hotel for an untraditional ceremony that took place on a private balcony overlooking the famous dancing fountains of the Bellagio.

And for a fun twist, at the sign of their first kiss, the fountains danced to the Frank Sinatra classic, Fly me to the Moon. Before the delicious wedding breakfast, guests were transported in an extravagant white hummer to admire the impressive Las Vegas sign, where they took group photos.

As if travelling to the most vibrant and exciting of cities wasn't enough, the newlyweds, eagerly awaiting even more adventure, then flew on to the Four Seasons in Maui, Hawaii, for a romantic honeymoon where they swam with green sea turtles in the pacific ocean.
