Spain's world-renowned bridal house Pronovias dazzled 1,800 guests this weekend. Their 2014 collections were unveiled featuring Atelier Pronovias and Elie by Elie Saab, which were presented in the heart of Barcelona. Among attendees of the fashion show were model and actress Stacey Keibler and Francesca Eastwood, the daughter of actor and film director Clint Eastwood, who were spotted on the front row.
With the theme of 'First Love', the catwalk saw models of the bridal collections transformed into flowers as their gorgeous little bridesmaids and page boys danced artistically along the catwalk. Classic wedding gowns with large skirts feature in the Pronovias 2014 collection, along with simple modern dresses cut above the knee. Cuts also range from sweet asymmetrical necklines to more extravagant ruffled creations topped off with lavish floral headpieces and flowing veils.
From classic princess cuts, that are cinched at the waist, to more sensual creations, such as fitted mermaid dresses, the wedding gowns of next season have been designed to accentuate the bride's figure more than ever. The Atelier Pronovias collection sparkles thanks to the use of rich fabrics such as precious silks and French lace. The designer also pays special attention to other exquisite materials such as rebrodé and chantilly lace, tulle, garza silk and taffeta, creating unique pieces that allow the bride's back to take centre stage, covered by sinuous transparent fabrics, lace or gemstone embroideries.
