Girls star Alison Williams recently became engaged to her boyfriend of three years, but she revealed that instead of celebrating with her, her co-stars have planned a prank.

Lena [Dunham] has already threatened to hide my engagement ring, which I really hope she doesn’t do,” Williams said at the Television Academy’s Girls event in Hollywood.

The actress went on to add: "She’s like, ‘We’re gonna have to find ways to hide it while we’re shooting.’ I was like, ‘Okay, then I’m going to hide it on part of my body that you can’t see’."

The critically acclaimed HBO show has been running for three years now, winning a Golden Globe and an Emmy.

"I know she’s obviously kidding", said Allison, before adding: "I was like, ‘Okay, then I’m going to hide it on part of my body that you can’t see.’"

On the show, Allison plays Marnie Michaels, an uptight and struggling single who is also aspiring to become a musician, but Allison has had better luck in real life, meeting fiance Ricky Van Veen through mutual friends.

When asked about the wedding details Allison admitted "we have not even started thinking about the logistics of the wedding."

The 25-year-old went on to tell People that even her friends are asking for details already.

"It’s so funny, even my friends are like, ‘So, ballpark, just tell me what time of year, just in case I travel,’ and I have no idea," she shared.

"As of now, it just exists as this hypothetical thing that will happen eventually. And none of it has started to become real yet. So eventually that’ll become things that we’re concerned with. But for now, it’s just the fun part."

But she confirmed that when the wedding does take place, her A list co-stars will definitely be by her side.
