Amal Alamuddin has touched down in Italy ahead of her highly anticipated wedding to George Clooney this weekend. Showing no signs of last-minute nerves, the striking brunette looked happy and relaxed as she made her way through Milan airport on Wednesday with her mother Barria by her side.
Amal managed to keep her arrival low-key – despite the excitement surrounding her marriage to one of Hollywood's biggest stars. She was casually dressed in a black jacket, lime green T-shirt and ripped jeans, and wearing laceless metallic brogues. She smiled as she wheeled along her suitcase, carrying a large box and a Stella McCartney garment bag slung over her shoulder. It has been widely reported that Amal, 36, will wed in an Alexander McQueen gown, but it seems she has chosen fellow British designer Stella to play some part in her special day.
Amal and George, 53, are expected to marry on Saturday at a waterside location – possibly the Aman Canal Grand Venice Hotel, or the Ca' Farsetti Palace, both of which have magnificent views. The evening before their big day, the bride and groom will invite guests to dinner at Belmond Hotel Cipriani. It’s been reported that 60 guests will be there to witness George and Amal seal their one-year courtship. The ceremony will reportedly be conducted by George's friend, and the former mayor of Rome, Walter Veltroni.
