Katie Piper shared the first photos of her dream engagement ring at the weekend, moments after collecting the beautiful bespoke diamond band from the jeweller. Now, Lewis Malka, the man who created the ring, has opened up about the one-of-a-kind design. "It was a pleasure to be asked by Katie to design and create her engagement ring, and what a great design we came up with," fine diamond jewellery expert Lewis said.

"Katie chose a double halo design with a large, central, brilliant-cut diamond, surrounded with two rows of smaller, micro-set, round diamonds. This is attached to a pave split shank and made with the purest platinum." Lewis went on to congratulate the bride-to-be, her fiancé Richard James Sutton - commonly known by his middle name - and their ten-month-old daughter. "I genuinely couldn't be happier for Katie, Richie and of course young Belle," he added, referring to James by the nickname which comes from his first name . "Congratulations to both you and your families." Katie and long-term love James got engaged at Christmas. The happy couple posed for a very rare photograph together at the weekend to show off her unique engagement ring. "He put the official ring on it," acid attack survivor Katie, 31 captioned a photo with her fiancé, before sharing a close-up of the band.
