Johnny Depp and Amber Heard legally married in their Los Angeles home last week, and the newlyweds jetted off to the Pirates of the Caribbean star's private island in the Bahamas at the weekend to celebrate their nuptials in one of the most romantic settings ever – on Johnny's very own secluded sandy beach overlooking the ocean, surrounded by their nearest and dearest.

Aerial shots of Little Hall's Pond Cay, the dreamy island that Johnny bought back in 2004 for $3.6million, showed an idyllic setting featuring just two dozen seats and a white marquee overlooking one of the island's six picturesque beaches. Another breathtaking spot on the 45-acre island was prepared for a reception with a long decorated table and chairs, according to People magazine.

Around 50 guests were initially expected for the party on the tropical paradise, which boasts a palm tree-lined lagoon and the principal property with 360-degree views of the breathtaking surrounds, including of the little island Osprey Bird Rock, which the 51-year-old also owns. A few smaller residences and a small fleet of golf carts are also scattered across the solar-powered island. Johnny has previously spoken of the stunning beauty of his hideaway. He told Vanity Fair in 2009: "I don't think I'd ever seen any place so pure and beautiful. You can feel your pulse rate drop about 20 beats. It's instant freedom."

Johnny and Amber, 28, met on the set of 2011's The Rum Diary and revealed their engagement in January 2014, when the stunning actress stepped out sporting a large sparkler on her ring finger.
