Michelle Hardwick married her girlfriend Rosie Nicholl over the Easter weekend. The Emmerdale actress shared a photograph of her big day at North Yorkshire's Danby Castle big day with Twitter fans on Saturday. The gorgeous snap showed the two brides smiling happily as they stood side-by-side during the ceremony.Michelle, 39, looked beautiful in a strapless white gown, with her hair down in a cascade of curls. Her other half Rosie looked equally as pretty in an embellished lace wedding dress, with her blonde locks swept into a updo and a white rose in her hair.

Michelle, who plays Vanessa Woodfield on the popular ITV soap, accompanied the shot with the touching caption: "I can honestly say that yesterday was the best day of my life... "Well-wishes came pouring in for the newlyweds, with the tweet being favourited more than 1,000 times in less than 24 hours and numerous fans writing to congratulate the pair.Michelle and Rosie met four years ago when Michelle was doing pantomime and Rosie was playing in the orchestra.Speaking previously to the Daily Mail about her upcoming nuptials, Michelle said last year: "We're both wearing dresses and our dads are walking us down the aisle. I can't wait."
