Congratulations to Jennie Garth who is engaged to her actor boyfriend Dave Abrams. Representatives for the happy couple confirmed the news to People, with a source revealing: "Dave had been working on this for months, and really wanted to plan something special for her around her birthday and make it perfect. "Last week, Jennie and Dave celebrated her 43rd birthday on 3 April while on holiday together in Mexico with her three children. The actor tweeted a happy birthday message that, with hindsight, hinted about his proposal plans: "#loveumoreandmoreeachday," he wrote.

The couple have been inseparable since they started dating towards the end of last year. In early March, they enjoyed a romantic weekend away in Santa Barbara, California – during which Dave shared a photo taken on a hike, which he captioned, "Our selfie game is strong. "This will be Jennie's second marriage. The actress – who found fame playing Kelly Taylor on Beverly Hills, 90210 – split from Twilight actor Peter Facinelli in March 2012 after nearly 11 years of marriage. The couple, who finalised their divorce in June 2013, have three daughters together, Luca, 17, Lola, 12, and Fiona, eight.Peter has also found love again; last month he popped the question to girlfriend Jaime Alexander, who he has been dating since 2013.

The actor popped the question around the same time as Jennie's 43rd birthday

In a previous interview, Jennie discussed her dating life following her divorce and admitted that being a single parent could be "super challenging"."It's fun and it's awful all at the same time," she said of the dating scene. "It's like a weird type of torture, but it can be fun. "Asked what she looks for in a man, she replied: "I look for someone that shares an energy. It doesn't matter what the person looks like or what they really do. There has to be that, first and foremost, that zing. That thing."
