Geri Halliwell couldn't hold back her excitement on Friday as her wedding day arrived, bringing with it bright sunshine. In celebration of her special event, the former Spice Girl tweeted a simple smiley face with blushing cheeks to her 300,000 followers on Twitter, hours before she was set to tie the knot.
Geri will be marrying her partner, Formula1 boss Christian Horner, at 4pm on Friday, and the ceremony will take place at St Mary's Church in Bedfordshire.
Later, as she prepared for her arrival at the church, Geri, 42, began to share some of the traditional aspects of her wedding day with her Instagram followers.
Her 'Something Old' was a snap of a vintage pair of pearl drop earrings, while her 'Something New' was a sneak peek at the train of her lace dress, designed by Phillipa Lepley.
The 'Something Borrowed' were "diamonds from a girl's best friends" while her 'Something Blue' was a play on her daughter's name, a blue bow with the word Bluebell written above it.
As Geri's father Laurence passed away in 1993, it is thought that her nine-year-old daughter Bluebell will be walking her mum down the aisle.
Along with Bluebell, the singer is reportedly also going to be accompanied by the her fellow Spice Girl Emma Bunton's son, Beau, seven, and Tate, four.
Christian arrived at the venue with his best men around 3pm on Friday afternoon. The groom looked calm and relaxed as he prepared to walk down the aisle.
Christian Horner arrives at the churchAs the day dawned, flowers began arriving at the church, sharing Geri's chosen colour scheme with the world. The white and pink bunches were suitably girly for Ginger Spice, who is thought to be arriving by horse and carriage.
The wedding party will be held at Woburn Abbey, and as well as Emma, other wedding guests are thought to include Myleene Klass and Mr. T.
A source told The Sun of their invite: "Geri wanted her wedding to be a family affair with her own immediate relatives and her Spice Girls family."

Both Melanie Chisholm and Victoria Beckham are out of the country and unable to make it the nuptials.
The happy couple began dating early in 2014 after being friends for many years. They announced their engagement quietly with a small notice in The Times – in much the same way Benedict Cumberbatch's wedding was revealed.
