Josh Brolin and his future wife Kathryn Boyd made their first post-engagement appearance on the Cannes red carpet on Tuesday evening. Josh, 47, couldn't stop smiling as he proudly posed with his bride-to-be at the premiere of his new film Sicario. The couple held hands and shared some sweet kisses in front of the cameras as they arrived for the screening, looking very much in love following the announcement they are set to marry.

Josh looked dapper in a tuxedo for his moment in the spotlight, while his fiancée looked stunning in an orange gown with ruffle detailing and a thigh-high split. Accessories-wise, Kathryn chose to let her new engagement ring take centre stage – all eyes were on her beautiful square-cut diamond stone, with diamonds around the band.A representative for Josh confirmed on Monday that he was engaged to Kathryn, his girlfriend of two years and former assistant.

This will be the third marriage for the No Country For Old Men actor, who split from Diane Lane in 2013 after eight years of marriage. Josh was married to Alice Adair from 1988 until 1994 and has two children from that relationship, Trevor, 26, and 20-year-old Eden. He was also briefly engaged to Minnie Driver in 2001.Josh is in Cannes to promote his latest film Sicario, in which he stars alongside Emily Blunt and Benicio del Toro. The crime drama tells the story of a police officer, played by Emily, who travels to Mexico with a pair of mercenaries to track down a drug lord.

Emily looked a world away from her gritty character with her glamorous appearance at the Cannes premiere. The mum-of-one showed off her figure in a form-fitting crystal-studded Stella McCartney dress as she joined her co-stars Josh and Benicio, and director Denis Villeneuve on the steps of the Palais Des Festivals.
