Billy Joel and his girlfriend Alexis Roderick hosted a fourth of July party to remember on Saturday. The couple, who are expecting their first child together later this summer, tied the knot in a surprise ceremony on Saturday evening.
The singer's spokeswoman confirmed that the couple had got married with a statement to People magazine, saying Billy and Alexis "surprised guests at their annual July 4th party by exchanging vows in front of their family and close friends."

The intimate ceremony was held at Billy's estate on Long Island, with his daughter Alexa Ray and actor Kevin James among the small group of guests. The nuptials were led by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, a long-time friend of the singer.
A photo released from the couple's big day sees them looking blissfully happy together. Billy can be seen gazing into the camera wearing a dark blue suit and tie, while Alexis has her eyes closed and cosies up to her new husband. The bride wore a traditional strapless wedding gown and clutched a floral bouquet while showing off her new wedding ring.
Billy and Alexis' wedding comes less than three months after they announced they are expecting their first child together. It has since been revealed that it will be another daughter for Billy.
