Nicky Hilton and her fiancé James Rothschild tied the knot at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's London home, Kensington Palace, on Friday. And it seems Nicky also drew some wedding dress inspiration from Kate Middleton for her big day.
Nicky dazzled in a couture Valentino gown
Nicky married her banker heir beau wearing a stunning $77,000 Valentino Haute Couture gown featuring a high-neck line and a flowing train, topping off the look with a show stopping lace veil. With its lace sleeves, bodice detailing, cinched waist and flowing skirt, the look was highly reminiscent of Kate's wedding dress. The royal also sported a lace veil on her wedding day in 2011.

The only striking differences were the neckline – Kate's neckline was plunging – and Nicky was without a glittering tiara.
Fashion house Valentino released details about Nicky's showstopping gown, designed by Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli. "The Valentino Haute Couture wedding gown was composed with three different tones of ivory and silver guipure richly embellished with crystals," a spokesperson revealed.

"The high neck bodice is stitched to a previous balloon skirt ending with a three meter long train. The edge of the long veil is enriched with a precious vintage lace. "Brides tend to stay tight-lipped about any details of their wedding dress before the big day. But Nicky revealed the designer of hers in an interview ahead of the nuptials. "Ever since I was a little girl I wanted Valentio to design my wedding dress," she told Harper's Bazaar."Valentino is the definition of timeless elegance, I don't think there's another couture house like it. "Nicky and James got engaged in August 2014, and said "I do" in front of their friends and family at The Orangery in Kensington Palace on Friday.Nicky was closely followed by her older sister Paris Hilton, who wore a long light blue gown. Meanwhile her flower girls looked pretty in dresses from luxury childrenswear designer Marie Chantal.
