Inside Nicky Hilton's wedding preparations: Paris shares personal album

July 13, 2015

The last precious moments before Nicky Hilton walked down the aisle in London with handsome banking heir James Rothschild were captured by her sister Paris Hilton, who shared the pictures on Instagram. Her £50,000 Valentino couture dress, which drew inspiration from the Duchess of Cambridge's wedding gown, made her look every inch the blushing bride. Paris' pictures later revealed that the stunning creation was accessorised with a very special shoes – custom-made Louboutins embroidered with the words Mrs Rothschild and the date.

Other images showed the two sisters in their suite at Claridges matching dressing gowns, bearing the words bride and maid of honour. Paris' was blue to match the long strapless evening dress she wore to attend her little sister on her big day.

The celebrity nuptials of the year took place in the Orangery, a glamorous venue within Kensington Gardens – a stone's throw away from the home shared by the Duchess, née Kate Middleton and husband Prince William.

Celebrations started early on Thursday with a special dinner at Spencer House in a private palace overlooking Green Park.

The bride-to-be looked stunning in a long sleeved cream lace mini dress which she paired with nude patent heels and the incredible five-carat diamond engagement ring presented to her by James when he proposed in August 2014.

During three days of celebrations the two wealthy dynasties were joined by guests such as Naomi Campbell, Chelsea Clinton and her husband Marc Mezvinsky and Petra Stunt, who was responsible for introducing the couple. Love blossomed at the Formula One heiress' own lavish wedding in 2011.

Also there to wish them well were Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Florence Brudenell-Bruce with her husband Henry Edward Hugh St George, and Holly Candy with her property developer husband Nick.
