Beatrice Borromeo

For Monaco's fairy-tale wedding of the year, the blushing bride Beatrice Borromeo turned to Valentino to make her dreams come true. Beatrice shunned tradition and said "I do" in a pale pink wedding dress that featured gold lace silk chiffon.

The fashion house posted an Instagram photo of Beatrice and her new husband Pierre Casiraghi, Princess Caroline of Monaco's younger son, sharing a sweet moment on the palace balcony.

It comes as no surprise that Beatrice chose Valentino. Her uncle Count Matteo Marzotto was the former president and director of Valentino when the label belonged to the Marzotto Group.

Jessica Biel

For her nuptials to Justin Timberlake in October 2012, Jessica Biel walked down the aisle in a custom made petal pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown.

The dress was enhanced with layers of delicate tulle and was exactly what the bride wanted – "Romance, romance, romance, kind of whimsical and dramatic," she told HELLO! magazine.

Describing the moment he laid eyes on his future wife, Justin said she was "the most beautiful thing" he had ever seen.

Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon didn't completely break the rules on her wedding day. The Wild star donned a strapless white wedding dress created by Monique Lhuillier that featured a Chantilly lace corset bodice and a full tulle A-line skirt.

Reese added a pop of colour to her gown with a pale puce bow around her waist.

The Southern belle married her second husband Jim Toth in 2011 at Libbey Ranch, Reese's country estate that she has since sold.

Gwen Stefani

No Doubt's Gwen Stefani married British rock star Gavin Rossdale in September 2002. The first ceremony was held in the groom's native London at St Paul's and two weeks later, Gwen and Gavin said "I do" for the second time in Los Angeles.

According to Gwen, she wanted two wedding ceremonies so that she could wear her pink-hued John Galliano gown twice. The white dip-dyed dress had been especially designed for her by the British fashion maestro.

Anne Hathaway

Dressed in a bespoke Valentino dress, Anne Hathaway married Adam Shulman in September 2012.

The former Princess Diaries star had the fairytale wedding she dreamed of, and stepped out in an off-the shoulder gown with swathes of chiffon. She completed her princess look with a flowing veil and a Twenties-inspired headband.

Kaley Cuoco

Wearing a strapless pink creation by Vera Wang, Kaley Cuoco, star of The Big Bang Theory, married Ryan Sweeting on New Year's Eve.

The pretty blonde shared a few photos on Instagram, including one of her new husband joking around at the reception. "Greatest night of my entire life :) @ryansweething," she captioned the snap.

Portia De Rossi

Portia De Rossi exchanged vows with Ellen Degeneres in an exquisite Zac Posen gown that featured a blush tulle skirt and a revealing back. The actress and the comedian married in the privacy of their Beverly Hills home in August 2008, in a ceremony that was witnessed by their mothers and 17 other guests.

The couple had been together for four years and got engaged after Ellen popped the question with a three-carat pink diamond ring.

Julianne Moore

Julianne Moore opted for an elegant, sleeveless lilac Prada dress when she tied the knot with Bart Freundlich in 2003. The Still Alice star, who is pictured with her daughter Liv - who was one-year-old at the time, completed her look with sparkly earrings she had borrowed from her best friend Ellen Barkin.

Julianne was previously married to stage director John Gould Rubin, who she met in 1984 and wed two years later. The ex-couple divorced in 1995, with the actress explaining that she married too quickly.

Sharon Stone

Given that she tied the knot on Valentine's Day, Sharon Stone fittingly chose to wear a dusty pink gown when she married Phil Bronstein in 1998. The actress' chiffon, A-line silhouette dress was made by Vera Wang – a favourite with celebrity brides who is known for her non-traditional, coloured creations.
