The couple tied the knot at St Nicholas's Church in Bathampton, the village where Amy was raised. "I was thinking about the awesome days in my life and realised a wedding day tops everything," the athlete-turned-Gadget-Show presenter told HELLO!.
Amy Williams met her husband 18 months ago on Tinder
During her sporting career, Amy hurtled down the skeleton track at up to 90mph. She took a speedy approach to romance, too, becoming engaged to Craig after just 12 weeks. "After two weeks together it was like, 'This is it,'" she told the magazine.
The couple only met because Amy logged onto the dating app while on a train from London to Bath. Tinder uses GPS to find your location and suggests possible matches – Craig was based in Hampshire and Amy was passing through Reading at the time. "I didn't know what I was doing," she laughs. "I was an accident," adds her husband.
Amy wore an Augusta Jones dress from her Krystle Brides of Bath boutique on her wedding day while Craig wore his ceremonial uniform, including Cambridge-blue beret. The 36-year-old groom is a warrant officer class two (AQMS) with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
As an MBE, Amy could have had her pick of grand wedding venues, such as Bath Abbey, but she chose the church that she had attended since the age of six and sung in the choir.
The couple are both thankful that they logged onto Tinder that day. Says Amy: "It was meant to be."
