Union J singer Josh Cuthbert got engaged to his girlfriend Chloe Lloyd on Saturday. The singer took to his Instagram page to announce the news to his 271k followers.The You Got It All singer proposed to his girlfriend of one year in the romantic city of Venice. Overwhelmed that his girlfriend accepted his proposal the star wrote: "SHE SAID YES!!! happiest/luckiest guy in the whole world. I love you @chloelloyd"
Equally excited to become Mrs Josh Cuthbert, Chloe wrote on her Instagram: "My best friend and soulmate totally got down on one knee on a Gondola in Venice and I obviously said YES! Erm whaaaaaat!!!!! I really wish I had the champagne emoji right about now.... I love you @joshcuthbert_uj "Prior to the engagement the blonde beauty has spoken about her relationship with the "really romantic" singer. Talking about their busy schedules she said: "I work a lot and I’m always travelling, so when we do get free time, we like to go out for dinner and then chill, like last night we watched about five episodes of 'True Detective' until like, 4am."
After announcing the happy news on their social media pages the pair were inundated with congratulatory messages. Thanking his fans Josh took to his twitter to say, "Seriously, thank you to you all for such lovely comments about Chloe & I's engagement. You're all lovely and it means the frickin' world. "Whilst he was getting engaged in Venice Josh’s Union J bandmate George Shelley is about to enter the jungle in the reality TV show I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! On the first show of the series the 22-year-old singer was seen meeting his new campmates before they were split up into teams. George will be joined on the red team by footballer Kieron Dyer, Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter, Lady Colin Campbell and Spandeau Ballet singer Tony Hadley.
