Beatrice Borromeo will mark a major milestone in her life next year, when she welcomes her first child with husband Pierre Casiraghi. But for now, the Italian heiress is reflecting on another special event that took place last year – her wedding to Princess Caroline of Monaco's son.
On Monday Beatrice took to Twitter to share some throwback, never-before-seen photos of her wedding dress. "When it was still a work in progress!" she captioned the two snaps. The pictures showed off Beatrice's natural beauty and of course her exquisite gown, custom-made for her by Giorgio Armani Privé.

She was the epitome of a romantic bride on her August 2015 wedding day, choosing to wear an elegant, Chantilly lace dress and a sweeping silk tulle veil, also featuring a lace border. The demure high neckline and three-quarter length sleeves was reminiscent of the wedding dress worn by Grace Kelly, another style icon of her time and her husband's late grandmother.

Beatrice, 31, and Pierre, 29, celebrated their marriage with two ceremonies spread over two weekends – the first in Pierre's native Monaco and the second in Beatrice's home country, Italy. The dress that appears in her new Twitter photos was just one of five gowns that Beatrice wore. For her reception on her family's Lake Maggiore islands, Beatrice changed into another Giorgio Armani Privé gown, this time channelling a Greek goddess in a silk tulle evening number.
Beatrice, 31, is expecting her first child
HELLO!'s sister publication HOLA! has reported that Beatrice and Pierre will welcome their first child early next year. The journalist was pictured with a small baby bump on show when she stepped out for the Copa del Rey Mapfre Sailing Cup awards at the start of August – when she would have been around three months pregnant – sparking speculation that the couple could be starting a family together.

She was last seen in public in mid-November, when she stepped out for Monaco's National Day. The mum-to-be wore a cream coat and an elegant white dress that featured an empire waistline, drawing attention to Beatrice's growing baby bump.
Last month she was also pictured on a shopping trip in Milan with her mother, Paola Marzotto, but she took care to keep her tummy hidden beneath a winter coat and a number of bags. The new arrival will be the fourth grandchild for Princess Caroline – the eldest child of Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly.
