A huge congratulations to Lisa Snowdon and her partner George Smart, who have announced their engagement! The star shared the happy news on Sunday, telling HELLO!: "I feel so lucky going into 2017 being engaged to my best friend and my soulmate George. The engagement was such a lovely surprise and the proposal was just perfect, it was at home - very private and low-key. Christmas was magical and George just took me away to New York to celebrate my birthday and set up a surprise party for me. I'm not sure when or where we will get married yet - it could be this year but if not it will definitely be next year. I can’t wait!"
Lisa and George are tying the knot!
The TV presenter previously spoke about her partner in an exclusive interview with HELLO! back in October, where she revealed there was "no pressure" for them to get married. When asked if they were planning on tying the knot, the 45-year-old said: "Yes, at some point. But there's no pressure because we fit … I know we'll be together forever."

She also spoke about the possibility of the pair having children together in the future, adding: "I've always wanted to be a mum. But I'll be 45 in January and I've seen friends struggle with the heartaches of IVF. We're just really blessed we’ve found each other. It could happen, but you just don't know."
Lisa spoke about the engagement
Although the happy couple have been together for 14 months now, they originally met 14 years earlier while working at MTV together. Speaking about rekindling their relationship, Lisa said: "We had a little liaison back then but I hadn't seen him since. Then, a year ago, we were re-introduced. He asked me for dinner and immediately there was a familiarity and an element of trust. He's my best friend. He's understanding, nurturing and thoughtful and he gets me beyond anyone I've ever met before."
