Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli have tied the knot! The couple were surrounded by friends and family as they exchanged vows during a beautiful ceremony in Palm Springs, California. Martha Stewart Weddings was the first to report the news, revealing that the nuptials were designed and executed by Beth Helmstetter Events, and had a confetti theme. According to the magazine, Samira's parents officiated the non-traditional wedding which had a 'relaxed vibe'. The couple left the ceremony to This Is How We Do It by Montell Jordan and walked into their reception together to Justin Bieber’s Baby.

The pair shared the same beautiful photo following their special day on their social media accounts. Samira wore a Christian Siriano gown while Lauren wore a jumpsuit from the same designer, and the pair looked radiant with happiness as they posed together for the sweet snap. Lauren, a screenwriter who met Samira on the set of Orange is the New Black, wrote: "Wifey for Lifey," while the actress added: "#aboutlastnight." They then shared a photo of themselves playing with brightly coloured parasols, with Samira writing: "Here's 1/1000th of how excited we are today."

Chatting to Out Magazine, Samira revealed that Lauren proposed to her. "She pulled a ring from behind the couch…I was completely shocked,' she said. "I was crying uncontrollably and kept backing away from her...We didn't tell anyone else for a few days. That was really important to us — to have some time where it was just ours." Lauren opened up about meeting Samira, explaining: "I'd already seen Samira’s audition tape and immediately had a crush on her — the complication being that I was married to a man at the time." In an open essay on Mic Daily, she wrote: "I went through it all on set: I fell in love with a woman, and I watched my life play out on screen. And now, as we are gearing up for the release of season 2, it feels liberating and appropriate to live my life in front of you."
