Rory, 27, started dating blonde beauty Erica in 2015, although the couple were friends before. Speaking to the Irish Sunday Independent, Rory said: "The thing I love about it is that we were friends before anything romantic happened. We met when she was working for the PGA of America and renting a condo in Palm Beach, and I found it refreshing being with someone who was living a normal life rather than, 'Oh! My jet is 30 minutes late!' I could speak to her about anything, we ended up spending a bit of time together and realised that there was something more there."

The couple got engaged after a year-long romance in 2015 during a trip to Paris. Rory popped the question at dinner, admitting that he was unsure of the timing as the November Paris terrorist attacks had just happened. Rory told the Daily Mail: "But when we got there, it just felt great. There were security checks as you went into the shops but people were just getting on with things. So we felt comfortable, and I thought if I proposed at the start of the trip it might make it even better. So we went out for dinner and that was that."
