Pippa Middleton's wedding dress: designers sketch their predictions

April 25, 2017

Pippa Middleton's wedding is set to be the celebrity nuptials of the year. There's no denying that fashionistas are waiting with baited breath to see what show-stopping dress the bride will wear, and, let's face it, Pippa's gown will be one of the most copied looks of the year, just like her older sister Kate's lace wedding dress was.

Pippa's glam squad: meet the team rumoured to be getting her ready on the day

Pippa managed to steal a bit of the spotlight when she attended her sister's wedding in 2011 as maid of honour, wearing a very flattering ivory dress, also designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. The gown featured dainty cap sleeves and a cowl neck. And while Pippa looked absolutely stunning, it's likely that she won't opt for the exact same designer as her older sister, and instead create her own unique, equally unforgettable wedding day look.

Giles Deacon has been tipped to be the man behind Pippa's dress, after the British designer was spotting visiting her west London home. But while details are still under wraps, we've asked some of the biggest names in the bridal world to share their predictions – and sketches!

Rosa Clará, Monique Lhuillier, Stéphane Rolland… see what they've envisioned for bride-to-be Pippa.

Ben De Lisi

The New York designer thinks Pippa will choose tradition over trend. His sketch shows a gorgeous dress, that is fitted at the waist but otherwise flows. Made of silk crepe, it will be finished with French lace on the neckline and three-quarter length sleeves.

Monique Lhuillier

Monique's dress for Pippa embodies romance and sensuality, fitting for the bride's youth and beauty. The sketch shows a glamorous fishtail dress with long sleeves, and a daring open back. The cathedral veil adds to the theatrical bridal look.

Jacques Azagury

The couture designer is imagining an empire-line wedding dress that will make Pippa look even taller than she is. "She's sporty and poised and suits dresses that have a fitted waist line," Jacques told HELLO!'s sister publication HOLA!

The designer has sketched a dress that perfectly complements Pippa's shape – a silk crepe gown that features long sleeves and a sweeping veil.

Rosa Clará

The Spanish designer has a very clear vision of what Pippa will wear – a modern design featuring a georgette silhouette, a round neckline and elegant long sleeves.

Stéphane Rolland

Pippa will be a very modern bride, according to French designer Stéphane Rolland. Her dress would feature an open back and a puffy skirt that falls above the knee to show off the fitness fanatic's toned legs. The white taffeta dress, featuring a silk crepe bodice, would be studded with crystals and pearls.
