Sam Mendes – 26th January

Sam Mendes and classical musician Alison Balsom secretly tied the knot in January 2017. Sam, 52, and Alison, 39, have kept their romance largely out of the spotlight, although they made a public appearance together in November 2016, when Sam accompanied Alison to Buckingham Palace as she collected an OBE for her services to music. A spokesperson confirmed the happy news to HELLO! Online, simply stating that "Sam and Alison are married". The newlyweds chose to officially marry in a registry office, before holding a blessing at St Michael & All Angels, in the quaint village of Great Tew in Oxfordshire.

Tyrese Gibson & Samantha Lee – 14th February 2017

Fast and Furious actor Tyrese Gibson tied the knot with girlfriend Samantha Lee during a secret ceremony on Valentine's Day 2017. Tyrese took to Instagram to confirm the news, using the hashtags: #TheGibsons #MyNewHeartbeat #ShesBoss.

Penn Badgley and Domino Kirke

The Gossip Girl actor quietly married Domino Kirke, sister of Girls star Jemima Kirke, at a Brooklyn courthouse on February 27, 2017. Proud sister Jemima shared a photo of herself with the bride on her big day writing: "When someone gets married in a courthouse, it's really an open invitation to everyone but the beautiful bride to explore all that fashion has to offer. Here, I try a look simply called 'Pants,' as Cassius goes for 'That Dude from #incubus' and Jemima experiments with 'Off to Therapy!' Congratulations @dominokirke. We love you."

Dave Franco and Alison Brie

On March 13, it was revealed that Now You See Me's Dave Franco and actress Alison Brie had tied the knot. The adorable pair, who met at a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans six years ago, exchanged their vows in a private ceremony. Their reps confirmed the happy news to People magazine.

Dave's famous brother James Franco had previously revealed that the pair were engaged in 2015 after sharing a sweet snap of the couple, writing: "Congrats Davy and Alison!!! engaged!!! I WUUUUUUV YOU."

Dave popped the question to Mad Men star Alison with a stunning Irene Neuwirth rose gold ring set with rose cut and pave diamonds.

Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski

Amanda Seyfried and partner Thomas Sadoski tied the knot in secret when she was pregnant with the couple's first child. The couple married in March - just six months after confirming their engagement. During an appearance on The Late Late Show, Thomas shared the exciting news, referring to the Mean Girls actress as his "wife". He told chat show host James Corden: "We eloped. We just took off into the country with an officiant and just the two of us, and we did our thing."

Paul Burrell and Graham Cooper

Paul Burrell tied the knot with his partner Graham Cooper in a ceremony in the Lake District in April 2017, surrounded by their family and friends. According to the Daily Mail, the former royal butler said afterwards: "Everything about the day has been perfect, made even more wonderful by the fact that my two sons were here to share the occasion. There's no more hiding my unbridled happiness now. Life is about being true to who you are and, for the first time ever, I'm able to stand proudly beside my husband and say, 'This is who I am.'"

For their special day, Paul and Graham both wore matching tartan outfits, while 58-year-old Paul also included a pair of blue cufflinks given to him by Princess Diana, and his Royal Victorian Medal, which he was presented by the Queen in 1998 for his service to the late royal.

Rory Mcilroy and Erica Stoll

Rory McIlroy and his wife Erica Stoll selected an incredible venue for their star-studded nuptials in April. The couple exchanged vows at Ashford Castle in County Mayo, west Ireland, in front of celebrity guests including Ed Sheeran, Chris Martin and One Direction's Niall Horan. The 800-year-old castle was the perfect destination for Rory and Erica to say 'I do', offering five-star luxury for the couple and their guests. The venue is also surrounded by 350 acres of gardens and woodland for privacy as well as a stunning backdrop for the all-important wedding photos.

Pippa Middleton

Pippa Middleton's wedding to fiancé James Matthews was dubbed the celebrity nuptials of the year, with members of the royal family and society's crème de la crème in attendance. The bride's sister Kate was on the star-studded guest list, as was her husband Prince William and the couple's children Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The wedding took place at St Mark's Church in Englefield in May 2017.

Tom Daley

Tom Daley tied the knot with his husband Dustin Lance Black in a romantic ceremony in the grounds of Bovey Castle in Devon in May, and two days later, they took to social media to share snapshots from their special day. Tom, 22, uploaded a picture taken moments after the couple had exchanged their vows, showing the pair walking hand-in-hand back down the aisle to applause from their guests. Alongside the image, which was taken by professional photographer Andy Mac, Tom wrote: "On 6th May 2017, I married the love of my life @dlanceblack. We shared the day with 120 of our closest friends and family, from Texarkana to Plymouth! Thank you to everyone who made this weekend the most special weekend of our lives!"

Anton Du Beke

Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke married his long-term partner Hannah Summers in May this year. The couple, who have been together since 2007, decided to tie the knot following the birth of their twins in March. Reports of a possible wedding emerged when Hannah was spotted wearing an engagement ring and a wedding band while attending the Chelsea Flower Show with Anton.

Miranda Kerr – 27th May

Miranda Kerr tied the knot with Evan Spiegel on the 27th May 2017. A few weeks after saying "I do," newlywed Miranda spoke about her wedding to the Snapchat founder, saying: "We started the [with] yoga, then our families came over and we literally had this celebration in our backyard. It was incredible. It was so magical and joyful." 

The KORA Organics founder went on to explain that she recently embraced a new form of yoga called Kundalini which "includes a lot of breath work and chanting and meditation." She mentioned that this version really makes her feel energised. "It energetically invigorates me. Without that, I don't know that I'd be able to do everything that I do," she said.

Pixie Geldof

Pixie Geldof tied the knot with her fiancé, George Barnett in Deia, Majorca, in June, and were joined by a group of famous friends, including Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Nick Grimshaw, with Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe acting as bridesmaids on the special day. The wedding took place in the grounds of a former monastery, with the ceremony held in the historical Son Marroig estate in a beautiful marble folly.

Pixie looked radiant in a tiered gown complete with a full-length veil, while George looked smart in a suit. The bridesmaids were dressed in matching pale pink, frilled dresses with matching espadrilles. It was also reported that Pixie was fashionably late to her wedding, arriving at the church over two hours behind the ceremony schedule.

Victoria Swarovski - June

As the heiress to a crystal fortune, Victoria Swarovski lived up to all expectations when she donned a truly glittering wedding gown for her nuptials to fiancé Werner Mürz. The 23-year-old singer sparkled from head to toe in the princess-style ballgown, which was embellished with 500,000 crystals and featured a six-metre train.

Victoria's dress – made by Michael Cinco, the couture designer who has worked with Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Lady Gaga among other A-listers – is estimated to have cost £700,000 and weighed an impressive 46kg. The bride completed her look with a dramatic cathedral-length veil and Jimmy Choo heels.

The pretty blonde married her boyfriend of six years, property investor Werner, in June 2017.

Sir Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster renew their wedding vows

Legendary rocker Sir Rod Stewart and Lady Stewart – better known as Loose Women star Penny Lancaster – celebrated ten years of marriage by renewing their wedding vows, HELLO! Online exclusively revealed. The beautiful ceremony, attended by around 100 family and friends, took place in the grounds of their 18th-century Essex home.

Sean Bean marries for the fifth time

We congratulated Sean Bean earlier on this year as he tied the knot with his fiancée Ashley Moore. The 58-year-old actor confirmed the happy news by sharing an official image taken at the wedding ceremony, which was held in Dorset on Friday 30 June. It showed Sean proudly standing with his arm around his new wife, who was laughing while looking at the camera, and dressed in a traditional white lace wedding dress.

Gogglebox star Chris Steed married his husband, Tony Butland, at a beautiful ceremony in Brighton. The happy couple, who have taken the names Mr and Mr Butland-Steed, looked gorgeous in a pair of bespoke suits, as they posed for photographer Nick Ford to celebrate their union on Saturday, 8 June. Chris looked fantastic in a Dolce and Gabbana aquamarine silk suit with white bow tie, while Tony opted for a white suit with floral decoration discovered on ASOS with a luscious, deep-red shirt and tie.

Aljaz Skorjanec and Janette Manrara officially became husband and wife in July 2017. The Strictly professional dancers married in front of a host of celebrity guests, including Louise Redknapp, Anton Du Beke, Judy Murray, Daisy Lowe, Laura Whitmore, and Ore Oduba, who attended with his wife Portia. Following their nuptials, the newlyweds celebrated with a wedding reception at Bath House in London, where they danced the night away with their friends and family.

Fantastic Four co-stars Jamie Bell and Kate Mara tied the knot in July 2017 and took to Instagram to announce the happy news. Jamie, 31, and Kate, 34, both uploaded the same sweet wedding snapshot, showing them kissing on the dance floor. Kate captioned the image "nuptials", while Jamie wrote: "Mr. and Mrs. B." Jamie and House of Cards star Kate started dating in 2015 after meeting on the set of the 2014 movie Fantastic Four, and their engagement was revealed in January 2017.

Stevie Wonder marries for the third time

Musician Stevie Wonder and longtime girlfriend Tomeeka Robyn Bracy tied the knot in July 2017. The happy couple, who have two children together, married in front of a star-studded crowd. Fellow singers John Legend, Usher and Pharrell Williams were just some of the guests who attended the nuptials, and even serenaded the happy couple! The bride, 42, and groom, 67, were also accompanied by the singer's nine children, aged three to 42, who acted as best man and bridesmaids.

Elisabeth Murdoch

Rupert Murdoch's daughter Elisabeth Murdoch and Keith Tyson tied the knot in the Cotswolds this summer. The couple were married in July in a lavish ceremony held at the bride's farm in Westwell, Oxfordshire. Elisabeth looked stunning in a low-cut, sleeveless white dress, with her hair worn down in loose waves. Her new husband Keith, 47, proudly shared an Instagram photo of the happy couple together, writing: "The happiest of days… #happilyeverafter."

According to the Daily Mail, guests at the wedding including Rupert and his wife Jerry Hall, Jeremy Clarkson, former Blur bassist Alex James and Jamie Theakson. The event was catered by the Michelin-starred River Café, and guests dined on mozzarella and pizzetta, followed by beef sirloin, under a beautiful floral canopy. They sipped on Barons de Rothschild 2008 champagne, priced at £770, and Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1998.

Paul O’Grady

Paul O'Grady tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony with long-term partner Andre Portasio this year. Paul and ballet dancer Andre tied the knot on 5 August at London's Goring Hotel, and one month later, the TV star opened up about their "smashing" nuptials. Stars including Sir Ian McKellan and Julian Clary were among the 50 guests invited to the ceremony, but one famous friend was notably absent – the late Cilla Black, who passed away in 2015. "She would have been over the moon," Paul, 62, told the Mirror. "It was such a shame that she wasn't there."

Danny Mac and Carley Stenson's

Danny Mac and his fiancée Carley Stenson were married in a magical woodland setting in the New Forest, in a wedding exclusively covered by HELLO! Magazine, in September 2017. The former Strictly Come Dancing star spoke of the moment he first caught sight of his bride. "Carley looked truly sensational and so happy," said Danny, 29. "It was such a lovely moment that I'll never forget. I actually put my hand out to tell her to slow down as it was all going too quickly and I wanted to cherish it. Carley thought I waved and so she waved back."

Idina Menzel and Aaron Lohr became husband and wife in September 2017. The Frozen star announced the happy news on Instagram while sharing two stunning photos from their special day. She wrote: "Wanted to let you know... married the love of my life Aaron Lohr this weekend at our home. Dad & son walked me down the aisle. It was magical. Thank you to everyone who helped make my wedding day so special."

Julia Stiles and Preston J. Cook secretly tied the knot back in September, with Julia sharing a photo of their "shotgun wedding" on Instagram. The pregnant actress, 36, posted a close-up photo of her husband's hand cradling her growing baby bump. "Who doesn't love a shotgun wedding?" she mused in her caption. Julia also gave fans a glimpse of her lace wedding dress by Tiffany Rose Maternity, which cost just £199. Julia and camera assistant Preston announced their engagement in January, following a Christmas Eve proposal.

Charlotte Church secretly married her boyfriend of seven years, Jonathan Powell in September. The couple tied the knot in a registry office in Cardiff in front of a handful of guests, before holding a special wedding ceremony in the garden of their home. Charlotte's mum Maria was a witness at the marriage, and signed the register at the service, which was held at St David's Suite of Cardiff Register Office. The newlyweds then celebrated with a "blessing party" at the house. "Charlotte and Jonathan have been in love for a long time and a wedding was always on the cards," a source told the Mail Online. "They wanted to keep things low-key and swore all the guests to secrecy as they married under a tree. Jonathan has been a great influence on Charlotte. She has calmed down a lot since she met him."

Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander tied the knot in Ibiza in October. The newlyweds were spotted on the Spanish island wearing wedding bands, and appeared to be enjoying a post-wedding brunch with family and friends. Alicia was dressed in a loose blue and white print dress as she mingled with her nearest and dearest alongside her new spouse Michael. Appearing fresh-faced, the Swedish-born actress snuggled up to the love of her life, who was dressed in a Hawaiian print shirt and white tank top. The Hollywood darlings, who are notoriously private about their relationship, did not hold back in their public display of affection.

Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet

Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet tied the knot at their home in Topanga, California this year. The couple, who have been together for ten years and share two children – Lola Iolani, ten, and eight-year-old son Nakoa-Wolf - were rumoured to have wed back in 2007, but were actually married in early October after obtaining a marriage license. The Game of Thrones star has previously opened up about inviting Lisa, who is the mother of actress Zoe Kravitz, on their first date. "It was through mutual friends," he told the Huffington Post. "It just happened on a serendipitous night and we just kind of met and I thought she left, but I was living out of a hotel and I invited her to the diner... I was a fool... She ended up liking me, so that was good enough." Jason referred to Lisa as his wife prior to their wedding, telling CBC back in 2013: "My wife being a very pretty woman. She's beautiful and I love her... My wife's Lisa Bonet. I'm a very lucky man."
