The stars of Strictly Come Dancing were out in force on Thursday to celebrate the marriage of the show's choreographer Jason Gilkison and his partner James Carney. Ahead of their big day, the happy couple were treated to an extra special message from Ed Sheeran, who said that he hoped the pair would be doing some "mental dancing" after the ceremony. The singer – who performed during the show's final earlier in the month – sent a video message via social media. He said: "Hey Jason and James, I hope you're having a fantastic wedding and doing some mental dancing which I'm sure you are. Hope you have a fantastic rest of your lives together - have a great night."

The sweet footage was shared by Jason on his Instagram account, who said it had made his night. "Ummm , yay thanks @teddysphotos !!!! Just made our night !!!!," he wrote besides the post. Fans were quick to send their well wishes for the big day, with one writing: "Love and best wishes you two. So happy for you both." Another said: "Congratulations Jason and James. Much love." A third added: "Love and best wishes you two. So happy for you both."

Australian-born Jason is the show's director of choreography, and has invited many of the dancers to join him on his special day, including Janette Manrara. She wrote on Twitter: "Slovenia, you were FAB-U-LOUS for Christmas! Now Santa & I are partying all the way to New Year’s Eve!! Heading back to London for @JasonGilkison & @jamescarney10 Wedding, & for the #NewYearsEve Celebrations! #GetReady2018 #iAmComingForYou."
Janette was paired with JLS singer Aston Merrygold on the latest Strictly – who is also set to walk down the aisle in the near future. The 29-year-old got engaged to his pregnant girlfriend Sarah Lou Richards on Christmas Eve, and the happy couple announced the happy news on Instagram earlier in the week.
