Ellie Goulding married her beau Caspar Jopling on Saturday 31 August 2019 at York Minster with a star-studded guest list present. For her big day, Ellie, 32, looked beautiful in not one, not two, not three, but FOUR wedding dresses. Scroll down to read more about all of her dresses and her makeup beauty look.

Ellie Goulding's first wedding dress

When Ellie emerged from the cathedral, she looked beautiful in a stunning long-sleeved bespoke Chloé wedding dress designed by Natacha Ramsay-Levi. The silk double crêpe white dress was hand-embroidered with White Roses of York and subtly embellished with white glass beads. Doubled with a silk radzimir petticoat, the garment took more than 640 hours to construct and highlights the meticulous skill and savoir-faire of the Chloé Paris atelier.

WEDDING DETAILS: Everything we know about Ellie Gouding's York wedding

"I was so thrilled and excited to collaborate with Natacha at Chloé on my wedding dress," Ellie said in a statement.

"I have loved the brand and their incredible team for years, so it only seemed right for Chloé to play a big part of this special day. Natacha worked alongside me to design something timeless and classic, but with all the Chloé spirit. Natacha is a very talented designer and I have admired her work from day one."

Describing the moment she tried on her dress, Ellie said: "I have never felt more special than the moment I first tried on the dress during my fitting in Paris, it was utterly awe-inspiring to see the craftsmanship and attention to detail."

Ellie Goulding's veil

Ellie's airy and delicate silk tulle veil and organza collar were embroidered with the bride and groom’s initials: E and C. It took 591 hours for the petites mains to hand-make this stunning creation.

Ellie Goulding's makeup on her wedding day

In an interview with Vogue, Ellie said: "The key is to look and feel like myself on the day. My best friend, bridesmaid and long-standing makeup artist Lucy Wearing will be creating soft, neutral beauty beginning with clean, fresh skin using Capture Dreamskin by Dior. I don’t want anything too heavy for the ceremony, but the focus will be on the eyes. We will build the makeup as we go throughout the evening."

A good base for makeup is very important, which is why Ellie really looked after her skin before her big day, telling Vogue: “I trust Exuviance’s deep hydration treatment and Rodial products as I truly believe they work. I also love Tata Harper, everything she makes is vegan. When it comes to facials, Stella [McCartney] introduced me to FaceGym and I have never looked back!"

Ellie was spotted leaving FaceGym in the days before her wedding along with Caspar.

Ellie Goulding's hair on her wedding day

The man responsible for creating Ellie's relaxed up-do on her big day was hair stylist Ben Skervin, who she met through Caspar. "[Ben] is going to be creating my natural up-do for the day, and we’ll go back to long waves for the evening," she revealed to Vogue.

NEWS: The surprising royal who inspired Ellie Goulding's beautiful Chloé wedding gown

Who influenced Ellie Goulding's wedding dress?

It would appear that Princess Anne inspired Ellie's bridal look, saying: "I’ve always loved timeless bridal looks, from Princess Anne and Bianca Jagger to the Princess of Monaco [Grace Kelly], and I wanted to bring together modern and traditional elements."

The bridesmaids also wore Chloé bespoke designs by Natacha Ramsay-Levi – pale blue dresses in silk cadi. Each one of them was embroidered with a tone-on-tone organza braid, a detail from the Fall Winter 2019 runway collection for an elegant and graceful waistline.

Ellie Goulding's second wedding dress

While Ellie Goulding channelled Princess Anne with her first wedding dress, she appears to have looked to the Duchess of Sussex for inspiration for the second gown she changed into for her evening reception. The 32-year-old revealed that she wore a Stella McCartney design as celebrations continued at Castle Howard – the same designer who created Meghan's evening reception dress in 2018.

Ellie's custom gown was the off-the-shoulder silk Cady dress, which featured diamond trim detail. The bride shared the first full-length glimpse of the gorgeous dress on Instagram Stories on the days after her wedding, with a photo of herself and her husband Caspar Jopling together, with the caption: "Me and my man."

Ellie Goulding's third wedding dress - her wedding reception style

As the music began to get louder, it would appear that Ellie wanted something a little more glam for her wedding reception look and changed into a Ralph & Russo ensemble. She told Vogue: "Ralph & Russo have collaborated on my favourite piece from their AW19 collection – it’s a bodice of pearls and silk, which I will be wearing with an evening skirt." See photos!

Ellie Goulding's fourth wedding dress - her dancefloor frock

Ellie Goulding has a figure to die for so it's no wonder she wanted to show off some skin to party the night away. Turning to her friend, Olivier Rousteing over at Balmain, the singer partied the night away in a mini dress of dreams. "Olivier has made me the most fun dress to dance the night away in," she said prior to her wedding. See photos!

Ellie Goulding's something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue

Ellie's something blue has to be the Electrifi VW car she arrived in (above). Her something old is yet to be revealed, and her something borrowed could well have been the diamond earrings loaned to her by Stella McCartney. And, well, her something new could have been ALL of those incredible wedding dresses.
