Nina Warhurst doesn't often comment on her husband Ted, but she has revealed a sneak peek into her New York elopement in the past.
The pregnant BBC Breakfast host met the caterer on holiday in Croatia in 2013, and they got married the following year on 21 March 2014. To mark their eighth anniversary in 2022, Nina posted a memory on Facebook alongside the message: "So there we were on the tram to town. I said the view looked *almost* New Yorky in the spring light... up pops a photo on my phone, reminding us it’s 8 years since we cabbed over the Brooklyn Bridge and got married, just the two of us.
"I did a little cry at the memory. He smiled, squeezed my hand, then asked if he should go ahead and book a skip for the last week in April, as it’s the first weekend we’re free.
"Happy Anniversary to the man who changed my world by quietly removing obstacles, and gently pushing me forward. I love you @fedbyted1 and I’ve checked the calendar. Book the skip, babe. Book the skip."

She added two rare photos of her wedding day, which show Nina dressed in a simple white dress with a rounded neckline and fitted waist. Despite the bright sunshine, we can assume the weather was chilly as she layered a brown fur coat over her shoulders, with a bunch of red roses, a pair of sunglasses and a gold clutch bag finishing her low-key bridal look
Nina wore her hair in a low bun which showed off her pearl drop earrings while Ted opted for a black suit with a blue tie, which was visible as he kissed his new bride. See more celebrity wedding photos in the video...
The couple went on to welcome children Digby, aged six, and Michael, aged four, and Nina announced she is pregnant with her third child on Mothering Sunday. Alongside a photo of herself cradling her blossoming baby bump in a fitted black dress on BBC Breakfast, she wrote in part: "I'd like to say 'you got this Mama!' But maybe you haven't. I dunno. It's hard, isn't it?
"That said we are doing it again. It's been a funky few months… involving intense migraines, vomiting, morning kebabs, first-time acne, small acts of violence against fruit, afternoon kebabs, tears, spontaneous snoozes, anxiety, and more kebabs."
