After announcing their split in June 2022, Amanda and Clive Owen's relationship has hit the headlines, but the Yorkshire farmer has insisted on setting the record straight about what caused the "wedge" in their marriage.
"I hear a lot of people saying, 'Poor Clive', and I feel like that isn't right," he began his candid chat with Christine Lampard on Lorraine on Thursday, before defending Amanda's "really tough time" - see more in the video below. He was referring to the fact that there has been much speculation about Amanda's rumoured new relationship with web designer Robert Davies.
While Robert's fifth wife has claimed he confessed to a four-year affair with Amanda, Clive has explained that their appearance on Our Yorkshire Farm was partly responsible for the breakdown of their 22-year marriage.
"I handled it very badly. It was such a change in our life and I sadly made a right mess of things really. And I had a massive part to play in our relationship ending. A massive part to play," he confessed.
"When all this was going on I am ranting and raving and drinking and carrying on," Clive added, commenting on the fact he was a little jealous of the time she spent filming the show.

"She was committed and we were all committed to this thing but it seemed to eat away at me and I handled it badly and I behaved badly towards her.
"I should have been supporting her and I was doing the absolutely opposite."
When Christine asked if he thinks the show created a wedge between the couple, Clive replied: "Without a doubt, and once a wedge begins to come between you, for whatever reason, we were under pressure, it was crazy.
"We got to a point where we couldn't get along at all and so we parted."
They announced their split in 2022 with a statement that read in part: "This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family."
Clive reiterated that they continue to work together and co-parent their nine kids, whom he said are "amazing." Heaping praise on Amanda, Cthe 68-year-old said: "The children are cool, the children are amazing, probably because of her. She's just that kind of woman."
He described Amanda as "a remarkable woman" and claimed: "I made a complete mess of it…If I'd have supported her and looked after her I'm sure things would have been much different."
